You will learn the core subjects of an Economics degree (micro and macroeconomics, statistics and econometrics) but also many others linked to current debates (globalisation and trade, public and environmental economics or development economics). You will do so with examples and applications for day-to-day life, also looking to socio-political and international contexts that influence the development of modern Economics.

Our Economics degree offers a unique setting within a very experienced Department of Social and Political Science. The course reinforces the vision of economics as a major social science that influences others, and the consideration of the different contexts and fields that economics is related to. In that sense, it distances its approach from the traditional focus on financial markets, to look into wider factors influencing the development of countries’ economies.

Being a dynamic young course it is continuously evolving, and through participatory activities and use of the latest technologies, it aims to contribute towards enhancing your employability.
